Today is the feast of the Apostle of the Eucharist, St. Peter Julian Eymard. He founded the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, known in some countries as the Sacramentines. He also founded a contemplative branch, which started fully cloistered, but lessened the enclosure after Vatican II.
