Has anybody else watched this movie? I recently Netflixed it.

General thoughts:
  • Definitely switch to Italian on the menu and then add English subtitles. The dubbed voice acting is just… no 😱
  • It’s a 3 hour 20 minute run time. It might take two nights for you to watch it if you’re not a movie binger.
  • Acting is pretty good. It gets better as you go.
  • Contains epic sadness

I watched some of it. It’s pretty good. Yeah, I’d say break it into 2 nights. 🙂 For sure. Maybe even three.

I’m glad I watched it… Another subtitled in Italian is Bakhita which is excellent. If your parish subscribes to FORMED (formed.org) parishioners may watch quite a few movies about the saints. you might check out their website to see if they allow trial subscriptions. it’s a Catholic organization so any payments would go straight to the Catholic source.

That was simply a friendly suggestion. Real men will watch the full 3 1/2 hour runtime in a single sitting without blinking, swallowing, or stretching.

Yeah I watched Padre Pio through Formed.org. I should probably browse to see what else they have.

I say, old chap, surely you would not mistake me for a “real man” . I am not, as you say, a “real man” for I am of the Clan of Osprey. We have better things to do than sit on our back ends on a couch for hours on end and look into that silly box to be entertained as you humans do. You are quite charming, my friend.

I’ve watched it on DVD ,and it’s time to again.Very moving.

No, you have to select it on DVD.

Netflix doesn’t let you stream good stuff 😛

What we do is share Saints story dvd’s amoungst our clan.Perhaps the parish could have a collection in its library 🤔

If not,we could always donate 🙂
I once asked my local government library if I could donate new DVDs and they said yes.I must do it someday .

No, silly goose. There should be a tab on Netflix where you select 'DVD" for rental, unless you are paying for a streaming-only subscription.

If they don’t even have DVD copies in one of their warehouses, it should still show up, but it will say ‘Title Not Available’.

Lol, Australia hardly has any DVD rental places left. There are a few vending machines with rentals. Everything is streaming now, or try and buy somewhere, which is just as rare.

Brave new world until the internet breaks…

I have a feeling quite a few of the dvd’s family has have been ordered from the US.
I went into a catholic supply shop in the USA a few years ago and it was fantastic ! 🤩

Great Movie! I love ST. Rita. She has been a good friend and I have a deep devotion to her.

You gotta get them for use in Australian DVDs. We don’t have the same playing format.🙀

I loved it. St. Rita is my patron saint. I seen this one plus the others on Formed about her. I read anything and everything I can her, but love the movies.

The DVD comes in the mail and then you return it in the mail.

Unless they don’t do that service there.

No, not here. Thanks for explaining it though. I keep wondering where that option was on Netflix.
