What are the views of traditionalists on the veneration of ‘St’ Simon of Trent?
Although prayers existed in the pre-Vatican II church, he was never canonised, and unlike other prayers, which simply stopped being said because no longer in the missal, as I understand it, the cult of veneration of Simon of Trent was actively suppressed and forbidden.
If anyone doesn’t know what I’m talking about, move on, nothing to see here. I’m not going to re-state the anti-Semitic lies that led to this child’s veneration.
