Tomorrow is the birthday of St.Thérèse, the little flower…She would be 136 years old. This is just a thread to wish her happy birthday…also, what ideas does anyone have to do something for her? Idk…but here is something I find unusual…She was born on a Thursday & she died on a Thursday (& Thursday was also a holiday in her childhood school.) And whenever she has sent me graces, it has usually been on a Thursday(The main 1 was 1st Nov 2007.)…I think she likes that day, somehow. (Though she hasn’t sent me graces in a while.) Several of her siblings were also born on Thursday. If anyone finds it interesting, here is a list of the births & death dates of her siblings.

Marie: Wed 22nd February 1860-Fri 19th January 1940
Pauline:Sat 7th September 1861-Sat 28th July 1951
Leonie:Wed 3rd June 1863-Mon 16th June 1941
Celine:Wed 28th April 1869-Sat 28th February 1959
Therese:Thurs 2nd January 1873-Thurs 30th September 1897
Children Who Died:
Hélène: Thurs 13th October 1864-Tues 22nd February 1870
Joseph Louis:Thurs 20th September 1866-Thurs 14th February 1867
Joseph Jean Baptiste: Thurs 19th December 1867-Mon 24th August 1868
Mélanie: Tues 16th August 1870-Sat 8th October 1870
Parents:
Father: Bl. Louis Martin: Friday 22 August 1823 – Sunday 29 July 1894)
Mother: Bl. Marie-Azélie Martin née Guérin:Friday 23 December 1831 – Tuesday 28 August 1877.

So there it is…interesting.

It’s wonderful that you have affection for St Therese and her family.
I pray that her inspiration and that of her parents, who are now Beatified by the Church, will guide and bless your life. I ask this wonderful family to keep you in their prayers.

“5YL” Thank you so much for providing this information! It IS interesting! :yup: St. Thérèse is my Baptismal Patroness… and I knew (at one time) that tomorrow was her birthday; but I’m afraid I had forgotten. :blushing: So, thanks for the reminder! I love her dearly, and am ashamed that I forgot this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, in Heaven my dear sister, St. Thérèse! :flowers:

Thanks so much for this thread.

I have really enjoyed learning about St. Therese and reading her autobiography in the last couple of years. I like to think she interceded for my niece who was killed on her feast day two years ago and who also had a love for flowers. (My sister, who is in RCIA now, was amazed and got rather teary when told about St. Therese’s nickname of “Little Flower”. )

Happy Birthday St. Therese! 😃
