I am trying to find out which saint is named after for St Theresa Cathredral in Changchun China. Some say St Theresa of Avila whilst I am hopeful that it is St Therese of Lisieux as this church was started by a French Fr and the Cathredral was built in 1930 and I think St Therese of Lisieux was officially a saint by then. Plus I heard that St Therese of Lisieux wanted to become a missionary to the orient before her death and apparently there is a picture of her inside the church. God willing I will visit one day and look inside to confirm.

I always see St. Teresa of Avila’s name spelled without an “h,” and St. Therese of Lisieux’s name with the “h.” I suspect you’re right about it being named for the Little Flower.
