Hmm, maybe this post was resurrected as a sign not to give up.

I am still single, but still live with hope. With God, everything is possible.
I’ve prayed for my own situation with an ex…I haven’t received any physical signs of roses, but I know my prayers have been heard. I think the important thing to remember is that prayer changes US…in the time since we broke up, I’ve changed from saying ā€œplease let us get back togetherā€ to ā€œplease help us both be able to heal and find what it is we need to be happy.ā€ And I can see where my prayers have definitely been heard. You’re right, with God, anything is possible; even healing is possible. Just don’t become so tied to one thing that you end up missing what God’s will really is…

I hope everything works out for you! I love St. Therese! She really is amazing, and she has helped me through every obstacle.

Thanks for your insight about St. Therese. She is really amazing. I think that all the roses she gave me were a sign of her love for me and of heavenly support. But, they were not a sign that my prayer was going to be answered. It is hard, but I will take note of your prayer for healing.

Thanks!

Hey!

I never smelled roses or saw roses the first time I really prayed to St. Therese. A friend of mine, John, had died recently, after being hit by a truck. He was walking across the crosswalk, and the driver wasn’t paying attention…he was searching for something he had dropped on the floor! Anyways, I wanted to know where John was in the Afterlife, so I prayed to St. Therese in the Cathedral here in Springfield, Illinois. I went to Confession immediately after, and an old priest I’d never seen before gave me a certain penance: pray for the souls in Purgatory…wow.
We only have two priests that I know of here at the Cathedral, and he wasn’t one of them. šŸ˜‰

Myrrh :juggle:

You know…(my memory’s kinda hazy, so I don’t remember the details) But I prayed to St. Therese once, a couple of years ago, I forget about what. And shortly after, I smelled roses. At the time, I didn’t really understand why I smelled roses, I didn’t make the connection. I just thought that was odd. Now, I realize, it must have been some sort of sign!

I rarely get signs. Just at times of great need or sorrow, or after a long period of conteplation, which I haven’t had much time for lately 😦 But even if I got one sign once, that is enough for me, so I feel blessed for each time God makes Himself known to me šŸ™‚
