Hello Dear Friends,
After searching for a long time I was able to find the folk songs of the St. Thomas Christians. For almost a generation now, the folk songs and wedding songs of the Northist St. Thomas Christians were lost. Today there have been many efforts from numerous sources to restore these folk songs and traditions. Before the current day, the only folk songs available were of the minority Knanaya or Southist St. Thomas Christians but thanks to God’s grace and the work of numerous associations, we are finally beginning to see the restoration of the folk culture of the other half of the community. These songs are ancient and speak of numerous matters such as the work of St. Thomas the Apostle and the culture and traditions of the Northist St. Thomas Christians. I have so far collected a few of these songs and posted a playlist on my YouTube account.
