God has two bibles. There is the world that science has discovered, and there is the good news of scripture. I think a rational Christian has a duty to study both.

If there is intelligent life on other planets then we will send Catholic missionary’s to teach them about Jesus.
Ponder this, if you haven’t already. Man fell from grace in the garden. If there is intelligent life on other planets they did not as they aren’t human. In that case we can teach them about the Trinity, but they wouldn’t need Jesus as their Savior because they may be without sin.

I don’t see how man’s fall from grace means that other civilisations from other worlds did not.

If I have not pondered, it is because I don’t see the reasoning behind it.

Possibly b/c they aren’t human. I didn’t say I agreed with the premise I put out there. It was something that was brought in a conversation once.

One additional thought to consider, why would God not have revealed himself to other forms of life “He created”?

I also think science is a means of understanding the creation in a greater manner, and therefore have a better understanding of who God is. Though we do have all necessary revelation.

I did a little looking and it seems people who believe in aliens will believe it. There is no place I have found scientific evidence supporting this connection outside the weirdasphere. So let us apply a little logic. As we do not have any alien DNA (of course), there is no way to say this is an alien hybrid. Therefore, anyone who makes such a claim should be de facto discredited. There have been so many cephalific deviations due to birth defects and disease, I would say the obvious reason is for this skull is the best.
👍

In my opinion thre are no aliens. Fallen angels, yeas. Could they have built more advanced civilizations beside the humans ones? Yes. They were destroyed by the flood, but there is possible for some of them to hide underground, or on other planets.
I have the feeling that they were hidding from the angels and not from the humans.
And about that skull, I don’t trust the test…

I have concerns with the information portrayed by Lloyd Pye. If he wants people to fully believe the most recent results I would expect to see the actual lab results in full on his website. It is not. What is there is information that he wants you to believe rather than providing the results in an open and upfront manner such as actual lab documentation.

Over resent times there has been DNA extraction from ancient bones. With this there has been recovery of the Neanderthal genome and discovery of the previously unknown extinct relative of the Homo species from the Paleolithic-era, called Denisova hominin. I am sure there many more extinct relatives yet to be discovered.

The FOXP2 gene is a protein on Chromosome 7q31 – base pairs base pairs 113,726,364 to 114,333,826. Thus far geneticists believe that the FOXP2 protein is responsible in binding directly to approximately 300 to 400 gene promoters in the human genome to regulate the expression of a variety of genes. It is also believed to be responsible in development of speech and language regions of the brain during embryogenesis.

Pye is incorrect in stating that there are no variations within FOXP2 protien. The Key family have a well-known Translocation t (5; 7)(q22;q31.2) OMIM FORKHEAD BOX P2 or an interesting read FOXP2.

Bearing in mind that this gene controls 300 - 400 other genes, what geneticists have found out about the FOXP2 gene is only the tip of the ice burg.

I have a particular interest with genetics as my child has a very extremely rare chromosome disorder. There are only three people in the world who are known to have this chromosome mutation. I am in contact with one family, whose child has very similar problems as my child. The other was involved in medical research program where they were doing Karyotyping as part of their research, nothing is known about this person’s childhood. The proteins involved in my child’s genes mutation are not known to be involved in any disorder. Yet there are two children who are exhibiting very similar problems and struggles.

It’s like this if you were trying to understand how a car works when all you had to go by was a diagram of one of its parts. No matter how much evidence you had that the diagram did indeed represent a car part, you would have no idea what the part really looked like, or what it did, or what other parts interacted with it, much less what the car as a whole did and looked like.

Just remember Demons are their old name – Aliens are their new name. What our ancestors knew then, still applies today.

God Bless

It was a couple of years ago on the anniversary of Darwin the Vatican held a somewhat closed door conference on the topic of astrobiology. Why? What is the church getting involved with this for?
I think some of the recent answers illustrate extremely well why the church would want to examine the implications of extraterrestrial intelligent life, even if the reality of such existence were best left to science. Would such beings be fallen and/or saved? Would they have their own stories of a redeemer, and if not what would that imply?

More blatantly what would it imply if Mr Pye’s assertions were correct and aliens not only existed but were both able and motivated to breed with humans? I don’t know about you, but his artist’s impression of the aliens do not make me think “ay Papi, I gotta get me some of that”! But still, if they were so similar to us, that would make even Richard Dawkins take another look at some form of Intelligent Design.

Finally, accepting a literal biblical interpretation, a ‘semi human’ skull needn’t be an alien-human hybrid, it might be a (fallen?) angel, a ‘nephilim’ child or some other supernatural being from the Bible or Judaic myths. All the more reason for the Church to examine the evidence.

Alas, boringly, my opinion from the so far published evidence is that this is very obviously a deformed (possibly hydrocephalic) but otherwise fully human child.

Thanks for everyone’s (name removed by moderator)ut. I suppose the heart of the matter is if Mr. pye is genuinely researching the matter and being honest about the findings, or leading people to believe what he wants for personal gain.

God bless

Hi,

I’m new here and was hoping to discuss a controversial topic without he intention of offending anyone. I recently started researching this issue after watching a YouTube video of Lloyd Pye. If anyone is familiar with this topic I would like to hear some thoughts from fellow Catholics. There is some seriously compelling data regarding the origins of this skull. It was a couple of years ago on the anniversary of Darwin the Vatican held a somewhat closed door conference on the topic of astrobiology. Why? What is the church getting involved with this for? Anyone have similar concerns about either topic?
