Start and end of RCIA

I’m going to be joining RCIA to be confirmed in the next Easter Vigil; while looking in my church’s bulliten I noticed that there was an RCIA class this coming Thursday. Is this the last class for the people who were just confirmed, or is the next set of classes already starting?
 
You would need to call your parish and ask.

In my parish we have RCIA year-round. That means we had some people who received their sacraments last night, we have others who are preparing to be received into the Church during the Easter season, we have some catechumens who are preparing for next Easter, and we have inquirers who will receive their sacraments at some time in the future. People come in and go out at various points during the year.

In some parishes they have everyone wait to start at one time and move everyone along together.

If you are already Catholic and haven’t been confirmed, you might ask if your parish or diocese has an adult confirmation program. RCIA is not the best place for a catechized Catholic.
 
I agree with SuscipeMeDomine that you need to call your parish. Some parishes offer RCIA year round and some start again at the end of summer / beginning of spring (like mine). This may have been a misprint or they may actually be starting a new class.
 
Yes, call your church office, there are a lot of variables at play.

Our year one students will have three more weeks of classes before we break until next fall.
 
As others have said, you should contact your Parish office to confirm since it can vary a lot from Parish to Parish.

But it’s probably the Mystagogia period for the folks who just received the Sacraments. I coordinate RCIA at my Parish, and we have another 4 classes ahead of us before the program is complete for the year. Our next round of classes (for people coming into the Church at next year’s Easter Vigil) won’t begin until the fall.

Our four Mystagogia classes are a kind-of “Well I’m Catholic, now what?” series. They focus on practical guidance on how to actually live the Catholic life going forward. Of course we’ve covered a lot of that before in the context of a more theological discussion of Church teaching leading up to the Vigil, but we take the opportunity to reiterate and build upon all of that.

Thanks for the replies; after talking to someone at my church I was told that the current classes are for the people who were just confirmed. I’ll be starting RCIA this fall.
