Just want to say that I finally had the courage to contact my local parish and I’ve met the priest and been offered a place in the RCIA course (even though it started in September).

As you can tell from my profile… I registered in 2011, so it has taken this long to find the courage to begin my journey and it seems like such a long time ago and although I haven’t been on the forums all of this time, I have been figuring myself out and living in a world of sin.

I suppose I just wanted to mention this fact in case there is others who are thinking about it… It is never to late to start your Catholic journey. Even if you’'re just thinking of it… weather you start this year, or next or in 5 years time, it’s never too late.

My only problem now is telling my mother, she isn’t very religious though she is the nicest and most Christian person I know, despite not being Christian. I will have to explain to her that I have been thinking of Catholicism since 2011 and even before!

I wish you all the very best in your journey and hope your conversation with your mum goes well. I’m also in Merseyside and entered the Church in 2014 at the age of 55 - so it’s never too late! 🙂

Glad you are started on your journey back home!

I became Catholic this past Easter Vigil. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love being Catholic!

Welcome home. Praying for you and your fellow catechumens on the journey.

I went through RCIA my freshman year in college. I wish you all the best on your journey!
