Good! Are you interested in converting? I am in the conversion process. And I will come fully into The Roman Catholic Church at Easter!

Whew! that’s an easy one! Rest assured, we all go through that, even the great saints that went before us went through that and then some.

Try not to look through theology through colored lenses of “denominations”, seek the truth and the truth alone will satisfy your intellect.

(back up a bit, as always) … five physical senses, touch, taste, smell, sight, sound … 4 spiritual senses: will, intellect, imagination, memory

When I refer to the truth that will satisfy your intellect, that’s why we feel so confident when we know the truth and come across another that doesn’t, we have the truth. Also, we experience this from childhood through our deathbed … have you ever known anyone who always has to be “right”? Ever experienced an argument between two people where there is only one right position but both hold to be right even though they are opposites? That is exactly the manifestation of our desire to fulfill our intellect with truth.

Seek truth and your mind will be at ease.

Ask for wisdom, it will be provided in abundance.

And, for a final basic, there is no unforgivable sin … well, unless you’re talking about the sin that you don’t ask forgiveness for (in other words, the only sin that is not forgivable is the sin that is not confessed)

yes. though I fear it may not be completely on my faith and all my research, but a saddening disgust on evangelical Christianity. I like the church, they are not monsters killing babies but are brothers and sisters; I would like to return but I should ask: does this bring me closer to God, Only prayer will seem to help. but Yes, I am interested in Converting. what is your process like?

As a Catholic Evangelist, I’ve come across a great many issues and find hope, truth, and charity in almost all issues with anyone I’ve come across.

This is a very MINOR issue, less than a “pet peeve” … is the reference to “Roman Catholic”

From the basics, many Protestant denominations have a mild to severe “anti-catholic” attitude. Thus, from the time of the early apostles, the Romans were the oppressors, the bad guys. They killed the Christians and fed them to the lions. They are the corrupt, the sinful, the epitome of a pagan gentile.

As Protestants and Christians aware of scriptural history, we know the Romans are “the bad guys”. So, the Catholic church has a bishop in Rome, even during the times when the Romans were “the bad guys”.

So, to end this long thing, the Protestants take a jab at insulting the Catholics by calling them “Roman Catholics”.

To be clear, there is no such thing as a “Roman Catholic”, just Catholic is fine. There is the Roman Rite of the Mass, but that comes from the enriched history in Latin, the predominant language and culture, of course, established by those “bad guy” Romans. There is the Bishop in Rome, but we just call him the Pope.

This is sort of in line with my pet-peeve about the added lines in the Lord’s Prayer … the funny part is that the Protestant view of the Lord’s Prayer includes the liturgy of the catholics that got incorporated into the Protestant’s Lord’s Prayer (gah, if this doesn’t make sense, I’d have to write it out long-hand).

Nonetheless, welcome into the “Roman” Catholic Church, the best place to be to learn more and more about how much God really loves us and what we are called to do with that love that He gives us.

None taken! May the Lord Bless us today and each and every day.

Everyone has a different path. My conversion has been great overall! I have had to contemplate teachings. I have learned so much! A book that really helped me is called “Catholicism for Dummies.” Oh and EWTN has been great too.
You might try sitting and praying before The Blessed Sacrament.

Thank you. so, may my path be of a story teller than, I feel like I was made to be a story teller. God shall guide, and my God’s guidance and mercy show me.

Well I’m glad you are losing your faith in Protestantism, a movement within the universal Church. Your faith should be in Jesus Christ alone to save you.
