How does catholic stewardship fit with vocations?

What is the simple explanation of catholic stewardship? What is catholic stewardship a origins in the OT and NT?

Depends on the context - stewardship of what?

Not to nitpick, but it’s a large topic. 👍

As a quick answer: Laudato Si explains stewardship of the Earth, and explains the Biblical/Ecclesial basis for this stewardship.
 
The way it’s thrown around I think it’s more of a buzzword.

Stewardship means caring for what one has been given charge of. Our priest gave a sermon on stewardship and said it should be about caring for the Church’s traditions to pass along to our children such as Gregorian chant, Latin, the Liturgies, the deposit of faith, etc.
