I was not to be blamed for this my wife never accepted and never cooperated to avoid artificial birth control.

These days I agree with her too so by church standards I am sining:confused:

I am living a life of sin?😦

Even though my life except this part is centered on God
And we all have been doing our best?

We read bible every day. We trust God as much as we can. We do rosary every night.
We sing and worship God always. We live a holy life but this one

Sorry God we can not have a child at this age , hard hard…

If you are willingly cooperating with and supporting your wife in contraception then you are sinning gravely. Though you may do many other things with devotion, you are living against God’s natural law (not simply the Church’s rules) and you cannot receive Holy Communion until you repent and firmly resolve to avoid future sin in this regard.

If you and your wife would like to learn more about how to space children naturally (99.5% effective method), then I highly recommend you explore the Couple to Couple League. They can help you to live your marriage as God intends.

The Church doesn’t require us to have children. The Church requires us to be open to life.

If you don’t want to have children, there are natural ways to avoid pregnancy.

Unless I misread your post, the time has now passed for your wife to be able to conceive so the matter is resolved anyway. God loves you both. Living with regrets for what might have been, what we could or should have done etc, is never positive. Trust in the love of our Blessed Lord and get on with your lives together.
God bless you both.

We are obliged to accept the teaching of the Church on this moral issue, even when we do not understand it. Catechism of the Catholic Church has:2399 The regulation of births represents one of the aspects of responsible fatherhood and motherhood. Legitimate intentions on the part of the spouses do not justify recourse to morally unacceptable means (for example, direct sterilization or contraception).

I suggest you speak to a priest if your wife is imposing artificial contraception on your marriage.

I don’t know what age you are, but men typically do not have any upper limits on when they can have children. Women do. If your wife is really too old for a baby, then she is probably also too old for artificial contraception.

A good way will be to make a hole on my condom:D

So all those years i got communion in sin

I am sorry I was upset I made some stupid remark. Even though the intent behind NFP is avoid having children and the intent behind usign a condom is also to avoid having a child. It’s the same intent so I can not fully understand why one is ok and one is not ok

I will obey the church teaching and won’t rely on my understanding .

I will have difficult time with my wife but no matter
What happens I will never betray my Lord Jesus .

Thank you all for informing me and pray for me as I already had a fight with my wife

There are those who have given their life for God this much is nothing.

You really should speak to a priest.

The intent of using a condom is to avoid pregnancy while engaging in sexual activity usually without any regards as to where a woman is in her cycle. Couples using NFP to avoid pregnancy must avoid sexual activity during certain times of a woman’s cycle. Avoiding pregnancy by avoiding sexual activity is not the same as avoiding pregnancy by putting a condom between a husband and his wife.

Many Catholics who use NFP also use it with the intention of following the Church teachings. Usually NFP users also understand those teachings. However, one can understand the teachings without following them, just as one can follow the teachings without understanding them.

We are not encouraging you to fight with your wife. Pray for her and love her. Love her as Jesus loves the Church.

There can be no ‘my life except this part’ - a Christian must do God’s will in every part of their lives. Imagine Abraham and Sarah having to deal with raising a child when they were far older (surely) than you? Not easy at all!

Intent is only one part of the story. If I need money to pay my phone bill, I can obtain that money by morally OK means such as working for it, or by morally bad means such as robbing someone. The fact that my intent is to do a morally ok thing and pay my phone bill doesn’t mean it is morally ok to rob someone to get the money.

It is morally ok, at least in some situations, to avoid having children. It is not morally ok to use artificial contraception as the method of doing so.
