I’ve been struggling with the “M” word a lot lately. I feel like there’s no hope. Every time I confess, it seems like I fall a few days later. Please pray for me to overcome this addiction.

While this may seem like SPAM at first glance, it isn’t. These are options that I am using or have used in the past.

If the “P” word also comes into play, there is software that can help. I just installed software from safe eyes. Thus far I haven’t found any loop holes in it. It has a special option that requires you to call tech support if you want to uninstall, log out, or change your options. While it does cost money ($50/year), it’s better than anything I’ve tried thus far.

A free option, that relies on an accountability partner is from X3 Church. While they are a protestant ministry, their software can be helpful. Reports of your internet activity can be sent to an accountability partner on a prescribed basis. If your partner also struggles with this, then the report simply lists how controversial the sites were according to a weighting system. The report shows a date and time of the violation, and also reports if the software is turned off. For approximately $15, there is a full version that offers more options to you.

There are other software options that are on the net as well. You just need to search for them.

As far as your struggles go, I’ve been there and pray that I will never go back. It can be discouraging going to Confession all the time, but God’s grace will trump all. I will keep you in my prayers.
 
Praying for you SK8. Don’t give up on this struggle. Keep working on overcoming this sin and continue going to confession. A person in another thread suggested when this temptation comes up, offer it up to God for others who are also suffering in this same struggle. Seems to help me…
 
Praying Mary will come to you as a mother when you are tempted, and wrap her arms around you.
 
SK, I’ve been down in that dark valley many times before. Even now, I still struggle and tumble back down into it. Every time I fall into this sin, I feel as if I’ve sold myself to Satan like a prostitute. 😦

I will pray for you to get to confession ASAP. Please keep me in prayer as well. :gopray:
 
My sympathies,

I struggle with this also in every moment of every day. Excercise helps too. Better still, the Rosary while I excercise.
