Oma reminds me of my own grandmother, affectionately called “babe” in her younger years. She prayed the rosary every day and during Lent, her and her family of five prayed it daily kneeling on the stair steps. I inherited her rosary after she died at the age of 93, which was a gift beyond words to me knowing I prayed on the same rosary my grandmother did for years.
