So much for the idea that abortion is something that is a ‘necessary evil in some circumstances’. So much for the idea that it is always a solution made with heavy heart and only to prevent a much greater evil. So much for the idea that women only choose abortion when they have been raped, or abused, or are so poor that a child would condemn both to death.
Does no one else see the constant tactics for making evil into ‘good?’
Remember when contraception back in 1930 was only to be used among married couples and in dire situations? Yeah how long did that last? A generation and contraception was a positive GLORY in that it protected ‘the earth’ from overpopulation.
And how about sex outside of marriage? Remember when we were told to ‘stop condemning’ because so many of the women were forced and how we shouldn’t make them feel bad? How quickly that segued into not making any woman who CHOSE to engage in the sex she had a RIGHT to ‘just like men do” feel ‘bad’ for her ‘free choice?
And how about gay sexual actions? First it was all about not having the poor gay people abused verbally and otherwise for their ‘INNATE’ tendencies over which they had no choice. How we were shown the clean-cut, well-spoken, smart clever gays on TV and driven to emotional acceptance and admiration over them wanting to be ‘free to love the person they chose’ and not have that person forbidden to be with them in the hospital, etc.
How quickly that segued into the PRIDEFUL gay person who spat venom at any who did not agree that their actions were “THEIR CHOICE” (ha innate) and as great and wonderful as any heterosexual action, and all the demands for not acceptance but adoration and veneration for them just because of the ‘choice’ to be gay.
Are we really surprised that the original “but abortion is only a rare and sad need for a few women’ has turned into a sacramental celebration for personal choice no matter what?
