This tells a well-known miracle of his when he brought a man back to life.
St. Francis Xavier was the great apostle of India and Japan, in the 1500s. In one famous letter he sent back to Europe, he said he converted 10,000 in India in one month, and that his arms became weary from holding them up during so many baptisms.

My childhood church held a Novena to St Francis yearly back in the 1950’s
Jesuits would preside and the preaching was incredible.
He was an amazing Saint who should not be forgotten.

Amen. My ancestors (Indian Tamils) were converted by St. Francis. Praise God!

He wanted to convert China too but he never got much of a chance. If I remember right, it was said that he was extremely impressed with Chinese civilisation but that it was also extremely pagan. It is tough converting people who already have their own traditions and customs and are also distrustful of foreigners in general. But he gave it a shot. He is an amazing Saint.
