My mom was in tremendous shock when I came home one day and told her to burn all our religious statues. For a moment, she thought that I was out of my mind. Our family had always been Catholic…

During that time, I was so passionate about my newly-found born again Christian faith, and I told mom, “Those statues are forbidden by God.

Must be some strange born-again Christians this guy knew if they were not aware of God’s directive to build cherubim. Even my husband, who barely cracked open a Bible since he was a teenager, remembered that part and quoted it to me out of the blue once.
