I think you are forgetting that the Church teaches that whereas WE are limited and bound by the Sacraments, Almighty God isn’t.

Again to quote the Gospel, God sends His rain and sun on whomever He chooses, good people and not good people alike.

Unless I am mistaken, God can shower His Grace in any way and to whom He desires. BUT the Sacramental Grace comes only thru the Sacraments. One can’t receive Sacramental Grace for sorrow for sins unless one goes to Confession and receives absolution. But one may be forgiven of sin if one is perfectly sorry for their sins but STILL must go to Confession ASAP for Absolution and the Sacramental Grace.God Bless, Memaw
