It happened a few weeks ago, in Brazil. You may have seen it on YouTube. A wedding was about to begin and the bride was sitting in the limo, outside the church, waiting to be called in. Nobody came, and she was left wondering what was going on. The explanation is that it was raining, a stray dog had wandered into the church looking for shelter, and the wedding guests were busily trying to shoo it back outside, worried that the bride would be upset by the disruption. Eventually they succeeded in getting the dog back outside, and the bride made her formal entrance. From then on everything went according to schedule until the dog decided he was better off inside the church than out in the rain. He came back in, walked up to the front where the ceremony was proceeding, and lay down on the long train of the bride’s gown. When she looked around to see what was happening, she was overjoyed to see the dog, and adopted him on the spot.
