Talk about putting to the test along many are called, few are chosen, this is a test of our faith far too often these days, on the street, once we reveal we are Catholics, we must in many cases, be the Apologetic for all Catholics, even if we are totally unprepared!

The thing to consider here, you always get blasted by some deeply ingrained, almost brainwashed notion that we are out of line with our Lord because we do this or that within the faith that they do not approve of. The vast majority, it’s more about what they don’t understand, and if they did, they would approve of it beyond full… The rule of thumb here, know they came prepared with every concoction man can devise, you don’t have to win a single argument, you only need to not react within a worldly manner., even the dialog alone will speak volumes of the faith.

So, so many are called, yet we never quite get the time to follow through, we know God wants us to go this or that direction in our lives, yet we forget sometimes it’s simply about simply extending a warm welcome to a stranger, when it’s not normally done that completes ones calling, at least at the moment. We must follow through and actually do what he calls all of us to do, not just sit and think about it for a while or make up some excuse that we do not want to appear foolish, the reality is, the general public in their lives live it with the same degree of trepidation along being exposed for who they are, deep inside out of fear of rejection. The good part on our end, we can always default along how the world rejected our Lord, and not take it personally if it happens with ourselves. We share in his vision of glory, we also share in his experience of suffering in a very small way on this earth, I personally say, bring it on folks, Jesus suffered far worse…

If you do not know the answer to something, assure them confidence that you can find the correct appropriate answer from the archives of the church, and if they refuse to accept that, they are only out there to pick a fight, and very little you say, no matter how sound will turn them into understanding. Know that you have over 2k of collective wisdom at your disposal, never and I mean never back down to a non Catholic that thinks they have all of the answers or some issue they can trip you up about, if you don’t know the answer now, you will know it later, and at the same time, don’t be too surprised of the Holy Spirit himself works through you to reveal the answer to both of you spontaneously.
