He may be homeless because he rides around on his bike and sometimes posts videos of being in a tent a lot and calls them the “gospel woods”. Regardless, he knows the bible but nothing about it, such as where it came from. If you look at his videos, he spells it byble, if he is such an expert he should at least know how to spell it!! It is absurd that he thinks he can interpret it perfectly infallible, but the church which gave us the bible is completely wrong. He is extremely ignorant and should get a job already!! 🙂 C’mon Eagle, let’s be charitable Christians in our comments. He’s wrong certainly but someone no doubt was the source of that other than himself. Maybe one of the many homeless shelters run by fundamentalists.🤷

Even so, we need to always be kind. Remember what 1st Peter 3 says…
8] Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love of the brethren, a tender heart and a humble mind.
9] Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing.
10] For “He that would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking guile;
11] let him turn away from evil and do right;
let him seek peace and pursue it.
12] For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those that do evil.”
13] Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is right?
14] But even if you do suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,
15] but in your hearts reverence Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence;
16] and keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
17] For it is better to suffer for doing right, if that should be God’s will, than for doing wrong.

I did see one video where the Catholics offered to take him to lunch with them and thought that was “wery cool” (as one of my Russian buddies says).👍
It would be great to see Scott Hahn, Tim Staples or Steve Ray encounter him, he would feel so helpless he probably wouldn’t come back. 😃
Not really likely, so you’ll have to suffice won’t you?

We have to take St. Paul’s admonition to Timothy seriously and “Carefully study to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” Notice that Paul doesn’t say to just study the scriptures and being a Jewish scholar himself didn’t have any concept of Sola Scriptura in his teachings though, like all faithful Catholics, he loved the scriptures very deeply.

I also suggest that all of us need to be aware of the counter to the common allegation that we follow “another Jesus”. Refuting Mike Gendron’s ‘Another Jesus?”

You’re right, just got a little worked up. I will be praying for him. I still cant see the comments, can you let me know what you said?

There is a Newman Center at this parish and think an apologetics night will be a good idea.

That would be like entertaining criticism from Barney the dinosaur lol

I think they have much more important things to do with their time.

I was at a Mass which was interrupted during the quiet time after Communion by a guy standing up and quoting Matthew 6:6. “But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.”

Too bad he hadn’t backed up one verse: “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them.”

The ushers had him leave. I often wonder if, when he tells this story, he paints himself as a martyr.

I’d probably ask him if he has accepted Jesus into his heart and if so, what was the date of his “acceptance”.

(He will say yes and have a date too)

Then after he asserts he did, ask him “Why?”

He’ll probably quote John chapter one.

Then ask him if it was “bloody” or “unbloody” when he did his “sinners prayer”.

After he says “unbloody” remind him he just said there is no remission of sins without the shedding of blood (in his video quoting the Bible).

He will say his “acceptance” is coupled to Jesus’ work on Calvary.

Then tell him if this is allegedly true for you, it is MORE true for the Church that Jesus founded.

He’ll have some verse to quote then give him his own advice before walking away.

Tell him to go read and re-read Hebrews SLOWLY.

God bless.

I personally would have gone St. Nicholas on him. Not very Christian of me.

I don’t know why you can’t see my comments. YT can be eccentric sometimes and I had to sign in to my account to see them.🤷

Most all of what I posted to him was taken from the blog posts above since that is why I blogged them to begin with, so I could easily do stuff like that.

If you’re going to do an apologetics night then I highly recommend talking your knights of Columbus into supplying them with copies of

Beginning Apologetics Volume 1: How to Explain and Defend the Catholic Faith

There are 9 different topical booklets available but this one is a very good general coverage. I still have mine and it is all highlighted and marked up. Better still they are only about $6.00 a piece.

The greatest thing we can do is pray for this man and his soul.
