I feel stress everyday…
I mean it’s pretty bad. It’s psychological stress due to something in my life that I cannot do anything about… It does involve guilt but it is not something I can repair.

I am STRONGLY considering Catholicism and I have found some great and loving Catholic friends in my local area.

Does God want me to feel stressed? I almost don’t enjoy anything anymore.
This week and the last one as well I turned to pornography in order to think of something else… It only made it worse… Now I feel so unclean and unworthy to approach God again…

I feel like I have had so many chances to seek God and each time I turn my back on Him.
This time I never denied Him as I have in the past… But still…

Does God’s patience have any limits (given that he is infinite I think He might not have limits as long as I breath) but the Bible does talk about reprobation and hardening of hearts.

Please pray for me.

I know from my own life that God’s patience has no limits … it’s incredible the amount of Mercy Jesus has for us.

As far as stress goes, I have the same issue with stress … although I have it permeated throughout everything I do in my life … it’s a big issue for me. However, I have found that the closer I get to Jesus and the more devotion I give to my Catholic faith and my love of everything it teaches, the more peace I have and the less stress I feel.

I also used to use impure thoughts to take my mind off of the stress that I was feeling … but it did not work … the stress was still there. When I walked away from that impurity, went to confession and received our Lord in Holy Communion is when the stress is less.

God Bless You

Mental stress is part of living, but if it’s sustained it can do much harm. The problem causing it can become an obsession. You need to face the problem, if there is nothing you can do about it, then confess to Jesus your guilt and your contrition. You can always find ways pleasing to God that show your sincerity, and repentance. eg. by a kind act to someone. Fear is at the bottom of much stress manifested by anxiety, You need counseling Turning to the physical will never solve a mental problem of conscience, it may provide a temporary diversion but the problem is still there.

I promise you, you have everything to gain in Catholicism, and make many new friends. If this stress makes you feel remorse, it is a good thing, God probing your conscience. If pornography is your only recourse, you really need to expand your interests, and not let physical pleasure be your only outlet, it can only lead downward. You were made for something much greater. Jesus came for sinners, not the self-righteous, and who is really worthy to approach Him, no one, but He make Himself approachable because He love us thats why He liberated us from Satan’s power. He will save you, just humble your self and keep repenting as many times as you fall. This way you will defeat Satan and the power he has over you.

You are right Jesus, God-man has no limits on His mercy. It sounds like your problem with Jesus is not malicious intent, deliberate offense, but human weakness, a consequence of original sin. Hardening of the heart means a determination to follow your will, and not God’s We all have the effects of original sin. The proclivity, or a tendency to follow our passions, or feeling contrary to the dictate of moral conscience afflicts all of humanity, so don’t feel alone. We are in a spiritual battle with ourselves and Satan, and we can expect to get knocked down, but always, always, like a good fighter, get up. You can be assured that you will conquer, and win with God’s help.
I’ll remember you in my prayers

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

Praying for you. Once you experience our Sacrament of Confession you will feel light as air.

PRAY a lot.

Consider carrying Rosary beads with you at all times and … do a continuous Rosary … all day …asking Mary, the Mother of Jesus, to pray for you and your family and for the people you meet during the day.
