Strive for peace

Where people are saying, “Peace and security,” then sudden disaster comes upon them,

However should not people strive for peace?

St Paul is simply describing the conditions at the end of time. Many people will feel secure in their lives, neglecting to remain vigilant like the Wise Virgins, with oil in their lamps, when Jesus comes for them.
