Strongest anti-abortion speech I have heard

The most profound one I heard or actualy read was the passage in the bible where it literaly states “Choose life so that you and your decendents may live.”
 
“Blessed be he that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock” (Psalm 136/137).

You are another fine example of someone who uses the Bible by taking verses out of context to spread lies. I don’t know whether it will rise to the level of bannishment, but I have submitted your name all the same. God bless and may He have mercy on your soul.
 
I think he’s hitting the important points: Women’s rights does not include the right to kill a woman (or man) before she is born. Reproductive freedom does not allow removal of the freedom to live from another human being. I really believe the pro-life movement needs to focus a bit more on its role as a civil rights movement in how it presents itself to the world; right now, there seems to be this idea that pro-life is purely religious, and not about rights or freedom - but it’s about the ultimate human right, the ultimate freedom: The right and freedom to live.

While I am awaiting judgment, perhaps you could fill me in on what you believe the meaning of that verse is if it doesn’t include smashing the heads of children against rocks.

On topic now, I do wish there were more voices making the succinct points that need to be made. Those who advocate abortion have redefined ‘choice’ in such a way that all we (on the other side) have to do is keep bringing up the fallacy inherent in that.

Aha… so you are into Bible reading?
Have you also come across the name Molok?
Perhaps you are post abortive your self… often such people have a hidden rage against the Church for pointing out that they have or have helped with the killing of another human person.
Maybe not… maybe you are simply trying to understand Scripture.
I urge you on… please read the New Testament too… As Christians we believe the Old Testament must be read in the light of the New… Only thus do we comprehend the true will of God for mankind.
As for the verse you refer to… David used some pretty strong words. For posterity neither Jews nor Christians like to go around smashing the heads of babies… You can ask for a Jews reading of this text.
As for me, the way I apply this verse to my life, the reality of it… is a symbolic reading. The Rock is Christ. Christ likenes himself with a rock… The main cornerstone of our life. A child who grows up in Him has eternal life. Someone who falls away and denies God is not going where God intended for him, namely heaven.

The civil rights theory behind “choice” is pure bogus, especially when it comes to law. If you push a pro-“choice” person hard enough, he or she will always in the end cling to “quality of life”.
