I live in between two Catholic churches and I’m not registered to either one. Is it ok to attend mass at one church and go to confession at the other out of convenience?

Why aren’t you registered? I believe you can go to confession wherever you want.

You can attend Mass at either. You can confess at either. You probably should register at the one which is your “official” parish. That info can usually be obtained from the diocese website or calling them.

There are about 5 Catholic Churches within a half hour of me. The one I routinely attend offers 24/7 Adoration, and I take advantage of it.

I haven’t decided if I want to make either church my official one. I’m also thinking about a small-town church, which is over 20 miles away, but has a great confession schedule for us night-job folks.

Interesting. The church I go to regularly also has Adoration all the time. I’m not a big fan of the priests there, though.

I’ve been at mine for coming up on 20 years. In that time, we have had 3 pastors. (One died, one retired). I actually love our current pastor. He is solid. Also not afraid to tackle things in his sermons. We have had IIRC, 6 Associates. Each one brings something different to the mix.

You can attend either church or even register at either one. But you are a member of the parish in whose boundaries you reside.

Oh, I see. When I moved to a new city last October I visited a few churches before I decided to register too.

You can go to confession wherever you want but you should register at one of them. Happy Easter!
