I heard in Chicago it is illegal for anyone to cross the street while talking on the cell phone 🤷

I wonder if they have enough cops to patrol for that 😛

The kid who works in our rectory at night was hit by a car not while on the cell phone by with this I-Pod on. He was walking in the street at night and didn’t hear the car. He was injured but not too seriously. I think he hurt his leg.

Last year a boy was hit by a train while crossing the tracks with his ipod on, and riding his bike. The chilling thing is it happened 10 years to the DAY of a horrendouse bus accident where 7 children were killed at the exact same crossing. Another creepy thing is that in both instances I happened to be driving buy about 20 min after it happened.😦

This is true of anyone, really. Let’s not just assume kids are at risk here.

I guess I am a strict parent. My 12 year old does not have a phone and she does not walk anywhere.

This conclusion needed a study? 🤷
😉

Who funded that study? Was it my tax dollars at work? 😊

I haven’t done a study, but it seems to me that cellphones and ipods are more dangerous to one’s health than smoking.
