Can a Catholic major in theology at a Protestant university?
You CAN do all sorts of things. Why would you WANT to study Protestant theology? That sounds a little snarky but isn’t meant to be. What are you hoping to gain from studying theology? Why not study in a Catholic school rather than a Protestant school?

Which Protestant university?

Some of the mainline schools are more open to Catholics. Others, like Wheaton, for example, are not, and some even require a statement of faith that no Catholic should, in good faith, sign, because it contradicts the teachings of the Church on Sacred Scripture.

The theology departments of most Catholic colleges and universities are basically Protestant.
