Subliminal messages in movies?

I was talking to my brother in law earlier today, apparently he has come across a few subliminal images in some of their kids disney movies, he was pretty upset about this, and to be honest, Ive never thought that much about it, Ive heard of this of course, but did not know it happened so often.

It seems most of these images are of a sexual nature, but if you look into it deeper, they put in some other strange images/ messages too, Im just curious, besides the obvious, why do HUGE entertainment companies like Disney even do this? Surely they know people see this stuff…right?

Anyone care to guess why they are doing this, and who is ordering/ requesting it be done? They must have some kind of agenda doing such things.
 
Human mind is complicated machine and I think subliminal messages might have influence on us even if we don’t know this. Their goal is to worship Satan and/or pagan idols and they are, of course, connected with freemasonry… Have you heard of reversed messages in “Stairway to heavan” by Led Zepelin? Do you know that, when you play “Another one bites the dust” revered you get “Start to smoke marihuana”?

The only “subliminal” message I’ve heard of along these lines is in the Lion King (or was it Aladdin?) where the word “Sex” is briefly made by wispy clouds. This alarmed Disney enough when it happened that they recalled the videos (I think only tapes back then) and made new ones without the offending word.

If you can find a widespread pattern of such things, then it may be worth spending time searching for an agenda. Otherwise, it is probably not worth spending any time on, as their agenda is to make money in spite of the occasional prankster in the animation department.
 
The most obvious if these was in The Rescuers where a naked man and woman are seen in a window, it was a clip from a softcore porn film.

Mostly these are put in as a practical joke and are generally made so that Kids won’t actually see it during the normal process of watching the movie.

But the Lion King one is disputed because Disney claims it was actually an “Easter Egg” that actually says “SFX” as in the short hand for the Special Effects(SFX) Department that worked to create the computer effects of the swirling dust and the other CGI effects in the movie like the famous Stampede sequence. It was only removed from the video version due to 4:3 cropping for home video(a common process at the time) and was restored to the widescreen DVD edition. They never recalled the Videos, that was just an urban legend.
 
Just to add something about the whole backwards messages in songs thing. Occasionally, artists actually DO add messages to be heard when the song is played backwards - in other words, they record themselves saying something, then the message is reversed and added to the track so that upon being played backwards, the recorded message is very obviously that of a person’s voice. Usually, it’s done for comic purposes - “Weird Al” Yankovic included a backwards message in one of his songs that said, “Wow, you must have a lot of free time on your hands.”

Most of the time, though, that’s not the case. “Stairway to Heaven”, which is the most famous song claimed to include a backwards message, doesn’t have one at all. It’s just an example of the phenomenon of “mental framing”. Basically, if you listen to the song backwards, you’ll just hear garbled nonsense, because there IS no recorded message. But as soon as someone tells you, “Listen, here’s what it says” and gives you phrases to listen out for, you’ll immediately hear it, because your brain is very good at finding meaning and will find it even where there IS no meaning.

Just to be clear, I’m not denying that there’s no such thing as subliminal messages, but I just wanted to point out that a lot of the common claims you hear about subliminal messages aren’t true, and do have very rational explanations.

[EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that the video’s taken from (I think) a larger lecture about the Big Bang, in case anyone’s confused by the random topic change at the end of the video]
 
For a lot of music I have enough trouble understanding whet they are saying going forward, let alone backward. 🤷
