Um unless you actually suffer from schizophrenia, why not just say spiritual difficulties or something like that. Out of respect for those who suffer genuine mental illnesses.

I wouldn’t call it schizophrenia per se, perhaps Aboulomania. Yes, that’s a real word and, unfortunately, a real problem. Mine is mostly spiritual and even boils over to something as simple as which sports team to root for and where to eat a meal.
I am lapsed but going to confession this weekend. Thank God my regular confessor knows my story, but man, does this hamster wheel get old. Let’s pray for each other.
