Funny you say that- today I checked out “Idiot’s Guide to Catholicism”… “Idiot”, “dummie”, both words we’ve all felt like calling ourselves! 🙂

Thanks everyone for the support and suggestions- I read all of your posts and decided to find a copy of Sheen’s “Preface to Religion”.

God bless,
David
I DID read that one before I converted. It was good too, but for some reason on suggested reading lists they use Catholicism for Dummies.
I was going to suggest the Idiots one, but I was afraid if I used Idiot and Dummies, but I was afraid that would be too much. 🙂
Glad you found that one at the library because it will be a good introduction, then if you have any questions, just come to CAF and ask here.

Sounds like you have received many good suggestions. I have also seen recommended on other threads a book called Catholicism for Dummies (no offense
intended!) which is supposed to be a good overall introduction to the Catholic faith.
I have the book, but I converted over 8 years ago, so I haven’t read it yet. I just came across it a year ago in a pile of free books.
I agree with this recommendation. I was actually debating if I should mention it or not. It is a great book and helped me with my reversion? Back to the church. So yes, please don’t take offense to the name lol
