Hello everyone. I am a cradle Catholic who, unfortunately, lost his way for a time. But I’m back! I have gotten some good advice on these boards before and I am hoping to get some again. I feel lost when I read many of these posts referring to different types of Masses, Orthodox, Byzantine and the like. Is there any one book out there to read that may give me some insight?

specifically on the Mass

How To book of the Mass (Our Sunday Visitor)
The Lamb’s Supper by Scott Hahn (Ignatius Press)
The Spirit of the Liturgy by Joseph Ratzinger (Ignatius Press)

I am reading “The Lamb’s Supper” right now. It is an eye opener!

I was referring more to Church history. Any suggestions?

Without question read “Triumph” by Harry Crocker. It was interesting, enlightening, and enspiring, I almost went out and bought a papal flag to put out in front of my house after reading it, not that he white washes the bad stuff, he seems to put it all in perspective.

It made me **very **thankful to be Catholic after reading it.
