Any summer movies that you’re looking forward to watch in 2018?

Avengers: Infinity War 💥

Definitely Solo: A Star Wars Story.

I’ll wait for the reviews on Mission: Impossible Fallout before forking over any coin.

The others I’ll probably pass.

Ant Man 2 should be good… Paul Rudd and Michael Peña are hillarious together.
 
I’ll probably watch all of those except Deadpool2. I’m not a fan of them going in an R rated direction with superhero movies.

I might go see the Star Wars one in the theater. Otherwise, I’ll wait for them all to come out on DVD/Blu Ray. I seldom go to the theater anymore. Only for Tolkien or Star Wars. 😄
 
Seeing the new film PAUL in a preview showing on Feb. 6. Due to be released at Easter, starring Jim Caviezel .
 
My list is pretty much the same, although i’m not all that excited about Solo. My wife and I have to be a little selective about which movies we go see so we’ll probably wind up seeing Infinity War and Ant Man, possible Deadpool. I’m going to see Fallen Kingdom.

I’m always looking forward to anything Marvel MCU and anything Star Wars.

I’m looking forward to that movie too, but I didn’t list it because the OP asked for Summer 2018
 
It will be summer by the time it’s open to the public. The preview is only open to Ministry heads.
 
I wanna watch the Jurassic World sequel but I do hope they make a better job of it this time! The last one was TERRIBLE.
 
It’s like the created they character to kill her.
Maybe I didn’t like it because I expected it to be as good as the first one. It may be a good movie on its own… But yeah the first rocks!

oh, I thought it was open to the Public on Easter?

The link I clicked on today from Catholic Vote says “in theaters Easter 2018”

 
Sigh. Are we going to quibble about when is summer? It’s coming soon.

If you compare any of the sequels to the original, they will always pale in comparison. This is because of a mixture of nostalgia and the groundbreaking effects that we rarely see the likes of even today. It’s also one of those rare movies with a basically perfect story, no loose ends or unused plot points.

As a movie on its own, Jurassic World actually holds up pretty well. A handful of loose ends and unnecessary plot points (the kids’ parent’s divorce, for example… totally pointless.), and the one completely unnecessary death, but compared to most creature features, that’s barely anything.

The first one had a better storyline. Also, didn’t the raptor-T-Rex patterns partnership irk you? It annoyed me so much!
 
It was a little annoying, but I feel like it made a bit of sense. They weren’t teaming up so much as recognizing the apex predator that was hunting them. It was silly, but I enjoyed that entire fight sequence so much that it doesn’t bother me.
 
Heh. Enemies at first and frienemies in the end.

I did like the way they played the piano version of the original theme when the lead actress led the T-Rex, running in stilettos. That was awesome!
