Sunday school teacher 'endorses' RBG?

You’re getting torched for this on here by other Catholics, but you’re not wrong. RBG and Stalin did have one thing in common - they both supported mass murder. It’s an inconvenient fact for some, but it just speaks to how the Church has been reducing the importance of abortion in recent years and how much it has affected Catholics’ thinking on the subject. It’s just another issue along with immigration, tax policy, etc.

So based on these two statements you say the teacher endorsed RBG? I’m not seeing that. They are completely neutral statements. RIP especially- isn’t that what we wish for ALL people, even Stalin who you mentioned here? How does that enforce her in any way?
 
The teacher has a different political view than you or I do. But there is no need to pursue that if the teacher Is not teaching contrary to the faith or is not trying to infuse politics with catechism.
I get it though, when I see people from my parish or friends post things that don’t make sense to me as a Catholic or are opposite of my political leanings I tend to think less of them.
RBG did a lot for women ( who were fortunate enough to be born) she inspired many and lots of her opinions and judgements were extremely righteous and just. She also advocated for abortion. That’s between her and God. We lost a important government person. That is sad. I’m also excited to get a new person who aligns with a pro life worldview.

Dude, relax. No one here is going to disagree with you on partial birth abortion. That’s not what you asked in your initial post. You asked if there was anything to admire in RBG. Apparently you only wanted to hear “no” because you’re now having a meltdown that people have accurately pointed out that RBG did indeed make positive contributions to American law. That doesn’t mean people are unaware she also did a lot of harm. Recognizing that RBG did something good in case X does not mean approving of what she did in case Y. It certainly doesn’t mean the forum is endorsing abortion. You’re getting yourself all worked up and not thinking clearly.

Don’t ask a question if you’re going to get bent out of shape when people don’t feed you the exact response you wanted.
