I’m wanting to dig a little deeper on some apologetics topics in particular, and the “Not by …” series by Sungenis seems to cover three of the big ones I want to hit. I know there are mixed feelings on Sungenis in here (as with most any apologist), but I wondered if anyone has read from the “Not by …” series and can give some feedback before I shell out my money. Perhaps there are other titles I should consider on the topics (faith alone, Scripture alone, and bread alone)? Good? Bad? What say you?

Not by faith alone is worth reading. If you are already *intimately *familiar with the scriptures, especially the NT, then it would be of less value. But most folks aren’t.

I have the full version. I think there is an abridged version as well.

The “Not By…” series of books by Robert Sungenis
are FANTASTIC books, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. By all means, get them and read them. My sister, who is not Catholic, is very impressed by those books and is seriously considering joining the Catholic Church. Hallelujah!!!

Another good read, on the Eucharist,
is a little book called GOD IS WITH US: The Eucharist the Heart of Life, by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (Benedict XVI).
