Why did you marry your wife if you knew it was a mistake? Since you are not interested in seeking an annulment then you must try to improve your marriage. It is not enough just to sit back and suffer. You must do something to solve the problem.Try counseling either alone or better yet as a couple. You were short on details as to the nature of the problem so it is hard to offer specific advice. You might try focusing on improving your behavior if it is lacking somehow. You have only been married 5 yrs and you, your wife and your marriage will go through many stages and challenges. There are good times and bad times in every marriage and the trick is to hang on during the bad times and appreciate the good times. Do you love your wife? You must have at one time or why would you have married her. There was a study done on people who had unhappy marriages and nearly divorced. Five years later and ten years later these couples were interviewed again and the ones that did not divorce reported that now their marriages were very happy. Things can always get better. Don’t despair but get some help from a priest and a marriage counselor and of course pray.
