In the testament as reported by Matthew, in 5: 33-37, it tells us to swear no oath. That to do so comes from evil.
Why then does the Catholic Church not regularly complain that governments and their courts of law, etc., regularly are in contempt of Jesus - Anti-Christ - by merely asking for oaths to be sworn?
As I see it, it is no wonder that so many governments are found to be corrupt, under the circumstances.
Thei instruction is quite clear. There are no exceptions. Just to say, “I swear” followed by anything is contempt of Jesus.
You are to answer questions yes or no. Nothing else.
