Fear of violence has changed the way police, firemen and emergency workers do their jobs.

There are some neighborhoods Swedish ambulance drivers will not go to without a police escort. Angry crowds have threatened them, telling them which patient to take and which ones to leave behind.

Because Sweden has some of the most liberal asylum laws in Europe, one quarter of Malmo’s 250,000 population is now Muslim, changing the face and the idea of what it means to be Swedish. Asylum seekers may bring spouses, brothers and grandparents with them. Civil servants say the city is swamped.

“You have 1,000 students in a Swedish school. How many are Swedes? Two,” said Lars Birgersson, principal of the Rosengrad School.

Students arrive at age 10 or 12 from countries like Iraq, Iran and Lebanon with no knowledge of Swedish; some have never been to school at all and many classes require interpreters.

Still, more than half won’t graduate.

“They are not a part of Swedish society, so to speak. It is difficult for them to get inside society,” said Torsten Elofsson of the Malmo Police Department.

However, they are the most rapidly growing segment of Swedish society — outsiders who are already inside, posing a challenge to legendary Swedish tolerance that has now been stretched to the breaking point.

Malmo’s main mosque was recently set ablaze by arsonists. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they were attacked by stone throwers.

Yes indeed, and are we surprised? Sometimes there is such thing as being so open minded your brains fall out. With the incredible welfare state operative in Sweden, did they think adding all of these folks would not put an undue burden on such social services as schools, hospitals, etc?

They have invited the tiger into their bedroom. Why are they surprised when he decides they look like dinner?

It is the story of Europe - after WWI - one would have thought a few lights would go on in their history classes but alas, we had WWII and all the “little wars” since then. It’s time someone over there besides poor beleaguered Tony Blair turned the lights on and took a look at what’s moved in, where it’s going, and what the purpose is. One Italian cardinal tried to sound the warning bell about Italy a year or so ago, and no one listened. I am beginning to believe that until some of the real estate over there gets rearranged, it’ll be more talk, no walk and chaos.

You are too funny!! And right on, I might add!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You would think the rest of the world would view Sweden’s situation and take steps to ensure it’s not repeated elsewhere. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be happening.

By the way, isn’t it Sweden that also has the “Angels of Mercy” who are dispatched to kill the elderly? What a scary place that country has become! Haven’t traveled much, but Sweden certainly is not on my list of “must see” places!

No, really? Honest?

I’d have taken you for one of the board’s huge number of world-wide sophisticates, if you hadn’t said.

It’s only a matter of time before cities like Malmo and London have Islamic law over their heads. The West is using contraceptives, abortion, etc. and their populations are going down as people get older and couples have less children. Meanwhile, Islamists are having multiple children (some with multiple women) and moving into Western countries and setting foot there for the future. Pat Buchanan was right in his book, The Death of The West. Unless people take this over sensitive nonsense away and act like people who know what is at stake, then we’re toast.

Yeah, think about that.

We need to do what the Italian cardinal suggested for Italy, limit immigration and specifically address the problem of terror and where it’s coming from with immigration laws.

The West have fear of future, for this reason we don´t have children, we don´t believe that the things will better, and the sacrifice is lowing, it´s a pity, greetings

I am wondering if the recent murder in Holland is a bit of a wake up call for Europe? With Sweden, France, Italy, and Spain also having problems with MUSLIM IMMIGRANTS (let’s not be PC here) maybe it’s time to let the huddled masses stay huddled on their side of the border until they decide if they want to move into a country they have to assimilate into the culture.

BTW no there is a strong link between our 9/11 and the Spanish 3/11 so hopefully the Spanish will wake up and realize that their participation in Iraq was not the only reason for the bombings.

From what I see in the Euro press, it’s “peace in our time” although some Dutch reports state that people are quietly buying property outside of their nation “just in case”. France and Germany keep trying to straddle the lines between factions but Norway and Denmark both have reported very heavy recruitment in their countries.

If Turkey gains EU status, it’s going to be very interesting indeed.
