Has anyone read Swimming with Scapulars? If so, was it good, and orthodox? I saw it at the library but I wasn’t sure (you never know, you know?). Thanks!
yes, the book is totally orthodox. i know because my friend, matthew lickona, actually wrote the book. its kinda’ like confessions of his life as an orthodox catholic starting from when he was a little boy to the present day(hes in his early 30’s). its not for all but i thought it was interesting.
You know Matthew Lickona? Please tell him that I liked his book very much. I ordered it after reading Fr. Richard John Neuhaus’s review of it in First Things, and I really enjoyed it. In fact I just sent it to work with my husband for his on-break reading, since he’s finished his latest book.
I’m thinking about getting copies for a couple of my friends who just became Catholic for Christmas presents.
