What is the difference between these two rites? Don’t they both use the same anaphora as the Assyrian Church of the East? I know one is Indian and the other Iraqi, but are there any other differences?
The Assyro-Chaldean-Syriac Churches historically have over 70 Anaphoro. The Chaldean, Assyrian and Syro-Malabar tend to use 3 or 4 for common use. The Chaldean and Malabar tend to use a version of the Anaphoro of Mar Mari and Addai with an awkward insertion of the ‘Words of Consecration’ although the Chaldeans have bracketed and purged much of these unnatural insertions.
