Take your priest or pastor to dinner?

In the last parish I was in, we had a new priest. Various people took turns hosting dinners at their homes so that parishioners could meet him. I went to a dinner with lay people and the two priests. We had a wonderful time.

Yesterday, I asked my U.S. Congressman if my wife and I could take him to dinner, we’ve met on couple prior occasions.

Later, I was reminded of when my wife and I would take our parish priest to dinner. I sure enjoyed doing that and so did our priest.

With all that our priests and pastors do for us, have you ever taken your priest or pastor out for a nice dinner?

I used to treat my priest to dinner all the time, and really once I get settled in where I currently live I am going to see about doing this again.
