My speaking watch. The hour hand says “ I stroll along enjoying life, taking my time.” The minute hand says “ I see things more urgently I have no time to spare.” The third and swiftest hand says “ I second that.”

In a busy, some would say frantic day, what do you try to make time for?

  • Conversation.
  • Meeting another’s need.
  • Satisfying my curiosity.
Not necessarily in that order, nor all at the same time.

I take a stroll around the garden taking in the air. There seems to be something a little different out there everyday.

Daily mass.

I try to stop and look for birds from time to time through out the day. I definately carve out nice blocks of time to get out into the field for silence and solitude.

Thanks @tad and @RandomAlias.
I think it’s really important for mental health to make sure you take a real break from time to time daily myself. Mass is a great way because it achieves several important things together.
If you work inside then I feel you definitely need to get out into the environment especially if there’s greenery anywhere.
Clears the mind.

It’s been proven that people who live in neighborhoods with birds suffer less from mental illness.

I can believe it. These things take your mind off yourself, perhaps working in woodland or parks as a volunteer would serve a similar purpose? Or just gardening a bit.
