Hello, I have a question concerning communion. If a Catholic married outside the church to a noncatholic, can they attend mass and receive communion. I was told years ago by a priest that I could. Will you please answer this for me.

You can, and I encourage you to, attend Mass.
You should not receive communion until you talk to a priest.

I have a question, how often do you meet with your priest to discuss personal matters? I have no one to discuss a nagging issue with because of the nature of the issue. It has been confessed, but it is a deeper issue of sin and has become difficult to recieve Communion. On the other hand, I don’t want to bother a busy priest with my “junk”. I really trust his opinion and advice. I have met with him once before, so this would be the second time in like 2 years. How do they generally feel about people kind of dumping stuff on them like that? I feel I need to go more in depth than what would be appropriate for the confessional.

Would particularly like to hear from any priests on this.

By non-catholic, do you mean a Protestant? Or someone who’s non-Christian? Either way, you will need to go to confession, have your marriage convalidated or recognized by the Church, then you can receive Communion.

I was wondering why Gabriel is considered an archangel. Michael is mentioned as the archangel and it leads you to believe that he is the only one.

honestly I talk to my priest quite a bit. He’s fine with it, in fact he suggested I talk to him, because i’ve been having some problems with my spiritual life. All the priests I’ve sought extra guidance from are very patient and didn’t have a problem at all!! don’t worry
