Hello. As The Feast of Corpus Christi is approaching, it seems like I have seen somewhere that a plenary indulgence is granted for reciting The Tantum Ergo on that day.

Can anyone confirm that?

If yes, what are the other “requirements” for the indulgence?

Thank you.

Grace and Peace,

With all indulgences, I believe you have to be in a state of complete detachment from sin, have gone to confession and Holy Communion within a week (?) of the event intended to attain the indulgence, intend to attain the indulgence, and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.

There is also a plenary indulgence this year (The Year of the Eucharist) for special devotion of the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration. The same requirements hold, received sacramental confession within the last week, reception at Mass, prayer for the Intentions of the Pope, and detachment from sin.
