Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain tapes/CDs of the EWTN Mass broadcasts? Do you know if it is rebroadcast later in the day?

Todays (on right now actually) had an amazing Homily. The kind I’ve been hoping to hear from my local church for a long time. Not fire & brimstone but not all touchy feely either.

Thanks,
Mike

In the Eastern Daylight Time Zone, Mass is aired at 8 AM, Noon, 7 PM, and Midnight

You may convert to your time zone accordingly.

OK, so the 7PM mass just ended. Will this same mass be rebroadcast tonight or will it be different priest celebrating a ‘new’ mass? I don’t know his name but he is an older (to me) priest with a little goatee.

thanks
Mike

EWTN broadcasts their Mass live at 8AM Eastern daily. Rebroadcasts of the same Mass are at 12 Noon, 7 PM, and Midnight. Sunday, there is no rebroadcast at 7PM. The Monday-Friday homilies are archived on their website save certain holidays and other occasioanal signifigant times. The daily homily is available at this URL M-F:

Excellent. Thanks so much.

If I can’t get my wife to tape the Midnight broadcast, I’ll at least be able to get the text of the homily.

I believe that Father Angelus is the Homilist to whom you are referring. Schaughnessey (or some variant on that spelling) is his last name, and he is a Cappuican, as I recall.

Hi Mike,

If you want to listen to any of the homilies from the EWTN masses, just check out their audio library…they post them the next day. Here’s the link:
ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/seriessearchprog.asp?seriesID=9957&T1=

In addition to the homilies, there are hundreds of audio files from other EWTN radio and TV programs in that same area on their website; enough to keep a person going for years!

Here’s a listing of all the different series:
ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/selectseries.asp

Each series has several programs linked to it.

Jennifer 🙂
