Apparently, the Tau Maria Franciscans are (or were) affiliated with Franciscans of Primitive Observance.
 
Is anyone on the CA Forum connected with Tau Maria Franciscans?
 
What is the difference between Secular Franciscans and Tau Maria Franciscans?
 
I am new in the forum and was interested in the Tau Maria Franciscans, also.
 
Hi, I am a Tau Maria Franciscan. We are a private association of the faithful right now, but we are pursuing official status in the church. The best way to understand our group is to download our rule of life and read through it. We are Franciscan and yes it was with the help of the Franciscans of Primitive Observance that we were started. We have grown so much that we are now self governing. Please feel free to contact me through here or through the website. I would be happy to answer any of your questions. We are basically a group of people who are striving for holiness in the footsteps of St. Francis through a life of prayer and penance.
