I pray the Holy Spirit gives you the words to answer your little sister’s questions.
… these words mean more than similar but literally the same, and my sister asked me about the romantic love between two girls.
Love &/or crush, it might still be an innocent thing.

I’m curious, your sister sounds like she trusts you very much… I don’t think I ever talked to my brother about my feelings about relationships even as adults… but do you think she might be talking about herself, and is wondering if there’s something wrong with her? Weather she might be talking about herself or a friend, you might want to be careful saying things like unnatural, abnormal or weird… you might as well just call her fat, ugly then call a therapist for her in 5 years… words affect people.

But you know you’re sister better then any of us, she loves you and trust you… just be honest with her, talk to her at a level she will understand… and remind her no matter what God loves her and/or her friend.

NO MATTER what, God Loves Everyone, never let her forget that.

I wouldn’t think that most kids in the 2nd grade who would be 7 or 8 years old would know very much about sexuality, let alone homosexuality.

Most kids know that sort of thing, they see it on TV.

We are talking about the actual mechanics, as in “how babies are made” or the actual acts that two gay people might engage in. The acts are the sin, not the fact that a person might “like like” another person. You’re talking about something completely different and on a kid level.

So you really weren’t any more knowledgeable than kids in any generation then.

I think it is a gigantic developmental mistake to immerse kids in LGBT culture because it is confusing and can make them think they are gay when they simply are making initial same-gender close friendships for the first time and are euphoric to feel such closeness outside of family. They may crush on girls they aren’t close with…it’s usually envy, not attraction.
Yes.

And it makes me wonder how much the activists are doing this “on purpose”, knowing fully well this can sow seeds of doubt on a kid’s mind.

I talked her, she also said that her friend wathces that kind of videos that girls and boya kiss each other and it is normal etc. I think sadly the girl exposed to lgbt proganda and not just confusing friendly love with romantic love.
I also didn’t ask my parents because they might react a little uncharitable because they are muslim, and I didnt want to cause trouble to that girl too.

Even same sex attraction is not sinful. So there is no need to bash SS attraction at all. Especially at this young of an age, since it may be personality attraction.

What can be taught to a child this age is true, Christian marriage. That marriage is for and between a man and a woman. This helps establish the basis for further matters.

This way, there isnt any assumptions about anyone’s sexual attractions. Marriage is the foundation of sexual activity. Only in marriage should sex happen. And only a man and woman can marry according to our Lord.

Just teach them it is an aberration and so all likelihood effected by devil.

Every kid I’ve encountered, myself, my sibs, my extended family, my child all the nieces and grand nephews and CCD kids and friends kids, they were all exactly as @Tis_Bearself described. On top of that, both I and my son sit in the “high intelligence” basket according to tests.

There is no need to give children knowledge they are not prepared to carry.

Crushes on other girls, favorite teachers, TV celebs, are so normal.
