And baptism is required according to Christ’s own words, whether by water, by desire, or by blood.

So, do you believe in faith alone?
I do, but it’s more precise–especially when speaking to Catholics–to say faith only. We are justified by faith only but faith is never alone.

Actually, it’s not the term I’m confused about but the reason you replied that way in Post 23. I thought you were saying that’s how you felt. “Indifferentism” and why I said, “That’s between yourself and God.”

Well, now we’re all clear, yes? Indifferentism, specifically latitudinarian indifferentism, is the belief that any old Christian church is as good as the next. This is not the position of the Roman Catholic Church. If the Roman Catholic Church is correct in all her dogma and doctrine then the Protestant churches are in error, and vice versa. That’s not judgmental, it’s simply logic.
Therefore, the only consistent advice a Catholic can give this young man is to become a Roman Catholic.

It’s more your own choir (fellow Protestants) to whom you should preach. A great many believe their faith is enough.

I would agree except that he’s made it clear that he feels called to preach in his non-denominational church.

But look at the bright side. He preaches in his church. And God uses his preaching to bring the whole congregation into the Catholic Church.
