I’m todays time and age , what is the expected behaviour of a teen following Christ?
What are some of the things that teenagers should do to live a spirit filled life in Christ? How can they achieve their goals in their spiritual life in this modern and complicated world where peer pressure is very prevalent?
Should parishes force teens to join youth groups or should they give them an option to explain why they would not want to participate in the youth group and respect the teens decision??

In my parish the youth group has become a joke . They hold meetings once a month where they play games. Apart from that they hardly do anything else. They only organise carols during Christmas and they organise a feast dance during a parish feast. Apart from dances and carols and occasional camping they hardly have one religious talk in the year .
I always thought that a youth group was supposed to have at least a few talks in a month relating to teen and religious stuff

If you really hate your youth group, and can’t fix it, then why don’t you quit from it?

Have you spoke to anyone about the quality of youth group? Have you let someone know how youth group isn’t meeting your needs spiritually?

I’d still like to know how a parish “forces” teens to join youth group.
