"Teeth Filing" Question

Regarding “teeth filing”.

My wife has a rare genetic anomaly. She does not have canine teeth. It also seems that my son may also have this characteristic. I wonder how the Balinese people would regard the situation?

Hey, That’s great. I do not have any canine teeth either. I’m glad to know that I would have had to have them filed away if I was a Balinesse. Maybe I was born in the wrong culture. Thanks for the information.

I didn’t click on the link, but I did watch a program on the NG channel–one of the taboo shows, and women in certain cultures (perhaps this one?) are not considered attractive unless they have all of their teeth filed. All I can say is OUCH!!
